The first pages of The Catcher in the Rye

Hello.
The group has read the first chapters of the book, and it is time for some discussion topics.

First of all, the main character is a boy named Holden Caulfield. The book is written in first person, and we meet Holden while he is going to an college preparation school called Pencey Prep, a little outside New York.

Holden claims to lie even when people ask him where his going, just for the sake of lying.
